Week 10: Chicken Taquitos

For this week we were allowed to make what every we wanted. I decided to look up easy 5 ingredient recipes and came across a recipe for chicken taquitos. The recipe is found at the following link: https://www.foodiecrush.com/chipotle-chicken-taquitos/.

These were very simple to make and the ingredients are as follow:
-Tortillas
-Chicken
-Chipotle peppers
-Green Chili
-Cheese
-Onion
-Seasoned rice

First I cooked the chicken and then shredded it. After it was cooled and shredded I pureed the chipotles and added them to the chicken and also added the green chilis. After everything was mixed up well I added chopped onions to the mixture. When I assembled the taquitos I took a scoop of the chicken and pepper mixture and placed it into a tortilla, after that I got a scoop of rice and then sprinkled some cheese. After everything was added I rolled up the tortillas and then placed tooth picks to keep them rolled up. After assembling all of the taquitos I fried them in a bit of vegetable oil until they were golden brown. I served them with a little bit of jalapeno jelly.
