Braised Pork with Porchetta Seasoning

For this week of the cooking blog we were asked to incorporate braising into our meal. At first I had no clue what braising was, so I looked up what the braising process entailed. I found out that you should fry the meat or vegetable, then put in stock or water and cook it all together in the oven.

The recipe that was loosely followed was titled 'Braised country styled rib and the site is as follows:  https://www.tasteandtellblog.com/braised-country-style-ribs-recipe/. From this recipe I pretty much followed the process of cooking the pork, while I used some seasonings that I had on hand in our pantry.

Ingredient List:
-2 pounds of boneless country style ribs
-One onion
-2 cloves of garlic
-Porchetta seasoning
-Dash of oil to fry meat quickly

For this recipe I began with cooking my pork on high for a few minutes to get a quick sear on the pork. After that I seared half an onion with some garlic. Once everything had some color on it I put in about a cup of chicken broth and put all of that into a preheated oven set to 325 degrees. This would be considered braising in my opinion. Then I let all of this cook for about 45 minutes. After everything cooled I sliced the pork into thin slices and made a sandwich with the pork.
