Recipe: Salad with avocado
The to-go meal I am
going to present today is a simple salad
with avocado. The ingredients we need I use for this meal are:
1 tomato
2 eggs
5oz of lettuce
1 avocado
Mini carrots
Olive oil
White vinegar
Salt.
This recipe is for 1
person and consists of adding some mini carrots, and dicing tomato, eggs in a
bowl containing 5oz of lettuces. We also want to cut the avocado, and the two
eggs in small pieces (dicing or another way) to add them to the mixture.
The last step is to
add 1 teaspoon of olive oil, 2 teaspoons of vinegar and 1 pinch of salt.
I make this salad
mostly during weeks days while going to work. In addition, I add 2 bananas and
1 yogurt as deserts.
I choose the USDA’s
plate and I think it fits with the meal I made, because my salad is composed of
some vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes), healthy oil/fats (olive oil, avocado), protein
& dairy (yogurt) and fruits (bananas) which are the main foods we need for
a healthy diet. The four or five main foods present in the USDA dietary were
used for my recipe. The salad I made has a variety of nutrients, the quantity of
fats and salt I used is reasonable.
