This week's food blog asks up to make something cultural. I got the idea to use some Pho broth that we had in the freezer that made over the weekend. Pho is a Vietnamese noodle soup, and the stock is usually from stewing bones and cooking them for a long time. In this instance we had beef Pho broth. In addition to the broth I marinated and roasted pork, then cooked it in the over. After the pork was cooked I cooled it and then sliced it into smaller pieces. In addition to the pork I put green onions, hoisin sauce, and chili oil into the broth with a splash of lime juice. When thinking of something that represents culture this bowl of Pho was perfect. It was perfect because it is such a common meal for the people of Vietnam.
