Beef and onion stir fry is a simple Chinese/Vietnamese that mainly consist of only beef and onion with seasoning and sauces.
Ingredients:
1/2 Large Onion
300 grams of Beef
Pinch of salt and pepper
1/2 Tsp hoisin sauce
1/2 Tsp soy sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 Tsp oyster sauce
1/2 Tsp flour
sesame oil
First, you start off by marinating the beef. You add in all the ingredients and combine it with the beef, except for the onions. Once all of it is incorporated let it marinade for 30 min. Once 30 min is over you can start cooking. First, start off by oiling the pan with sesame oil. Then sweat the oils until they turn translucent. Once it is translucent you can add the beef it and cook it until it completely cooks through. Overall the dish was good over rice. Usually, when this dish is made there is also oyster sauce in it. To give it a darker color and seafood flavor since the sauce is made from the oyster. The dish fits for this week's technique of culture because it is a dish served in Vietnam and China.
