Sweet and sour chicken
This week, I made a really classic Chinese dish, sweet and sour chicken
Ingredients:
1)chicken breast
2)an egg
3)ketchup
4)vinegar
5)salt
6)black pepper
7)corn starch
Process:
Chopped the chicken, and marinate the chicken with egg, corn starch, salt, and black pepper. Use a big pan, pour and heat up a lot of oil. Fry the chicken, and refry them again. Pour out the oil and prepare a sauce mixed with vinegar, ketchup, and some sugar. Pour both chicken and sauce in the pan, and turn to low heat. The dish will be down when the sauce gets thick.
Personal Statement:
This is my first time making this dish, and it was quite a success. Sweet and sour are two of my all-time favorite flavors. So this dish perfectly matched my taste. But because I have to fry the chicken twice to keep the juicy inside of the chicken, that costs me a lot of oils, it was quite a pain. Back to the flavor, because I do not have sugar, so I replaced sugar by using soda drinks, and it gives the dish a good taste of sweetness. And I put both ketchup and vinegar in the mixed sauce, so it has strong flavor in sourness too. So it has rich in flavor. And because I fried the chicken twice, so I locked the juice inside of the chicken, so the dish is great overall.
