Week 8- Budgeting Assignment

Recipe: Old Fashioned Easy Apple Crisp by The Chunky Chef (https://www.thechunkychef.com/old-fashioned-easy-apple-crisp/)

I chose to make Apple Crisp because I recently received a bunch of free apples from my grandma's apple orchard, so I figured I should do something with them before they go bad. I looked on Pinterest for Apple Crisp recipes, and chose this one because it looked very straightforward, called for a lot of ingredients I already on-hand, and also had great reviews. Here's a picture of my finished dish:

I followed the recipe exactly, except I had to keep the dish in the oven for a little longer than the recipe called for because it wasn't quite done. This was such a simple recipe that didn't take much time, and had a lot of pay-off. Here is a picture of the dish before I stuck it in the oven:

The end result was a delicious fall treat. I shared it with my roommates and they absolutely loved it! One thing I would do differently is make sure all of the powdered mixture/crumble on top is coated in the apple juice mixture from below, so there aren't any dry, powdered spots on the dish. Other than that, I'd definitely make this recipe exactly how I did, again.

P.S. I incorporated the weekly challenge by choosing one of the recipes I did the Budget Assignment on.
