All-purpose gluten free baking flour

cooking oil
butter

  • Dip pork in each bowl in the order stated
  • Put pork in fryer and fry for around 10 minutes
  • Pat down pork after removing it from fryer
Weekly technique:
The weekly technique was "culture" based food. My mom was born in Germany and I grew up with schnitzel. It actually originally came from Austria though but is popular in many countries. I've never had it with chicken before (which was substituted) but it can actually be made with veal, turkey, chicken, beef, or pork. I had it with mushed up carrots, onions, and potatoes which is very German too.

Reflection:
I used thin-cut organic chicken breasts instead of pork as something new to try. Besides, my partner doesn't eat pork and I wanted her to be able to enjoy it too. I added oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper to the bread crumbs to make it more tasty. I thought it was weird that it wanted me to add butter to the frying oil, which was something I've never seen before. I also added lemon juice at the very end for a bit of extra tang.
All in all, it turned out pretty well though, and was something completely new that I've never made before.
