Recipe : Avocado and Onions Salad
Ingredients:
3 avocados, thinly sliced
¼ small red onion, very thinly sliced
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste.
This recipe is pretty simple, healthy, and essentially
made with sliced ingredients. For instance, sliding the avocados consists of dividing
them in half and then cutting them longitudinally in thinly slices. Thereafter,
we add the vinegar and olive oil to the sliced ingredients and season the preparation
with salt and pepper.
According to the recipe, we should use large avocados, but
I used the small ones and I do not thing it matters. However, it is important
to use small red onions in order to obtain thinly sliced, because I got only a
big one at the store and it was not easy to slice it.
As you can see the result on the picture 3, everything
looks good. However, I think this recipe could improved by adding more ingredients
especially some vegetables. Adding for example ¼ cup snipped fresh cilantro and
some sliced of cucumbers would made this dish a bit denser. Also, adding 2 cooked eggs would not be a bad idea to improve the taste.
