I really liked the Spanish omelette that someone made in class last Monday so I decided to recreate it even though it looked pretty challenging. I looked up the recipe by Jamie Oliver here!! on Youtube and it actually wasn't that hard to make!
ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 yellow onion
- 1 potato
- salt
- pepper
- oil
- other seasoning (optional)
recipe
1. fry onions until soft
2. add potatoes and cook till tender
3. mix eggs together and pour in
4. cook for 2 minutes on medium heat then flip it over on a plate
5. slide the eggs back in on the other side and cook for another 2 minutes
reflection
I definitely enjoyed this recipe a lot as it tasted really good and comforting especially after a long and eventful weekend. Although I messed up when I flipped it on the plate I was surprised by how easy it was to make! If I were to make it again I would definitely use a bigger pan with more oil and since I only watched the video once I was eyeballing a lot of the things and the ratio between eggs, onions and potatoes were a little off. I also overestimated myself and made way too much so next time I would cut all the ingredients in half! Overall I was really happy with this recipe, I love eggs to begin with and this is definitely something new for me so I'm really excited to make this again in the future!
