Chow mein
The topic for this week is Whole grains, so I decided to make a really tasty chow mein.
Ingredients:
1)Cooking wine
2)Grapeseed oil
3)soy sauce
4)oyster sauce
5)tomato
6)shrimps
7)onion
8)broccoli
9)Instant noodle
10)garlic powder
11)salt
Steps:
1)Boil the instant noodles until it turns soft
2)fry the chopped onions and chopped tomatoes with grapeseed oil
3)add broccoli and keep frying with high heat
4)add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and oyster sauce
5)add boiled instant noodle in it and add one tablespoon of cooking wine
6)add shrimps and garlic powder and keep frying
7)Add salt
Reflection:
The chow mein is really delicious but considering the amount of seasonings I added into, it is a little too salty. Maybe try not to add the salt next time. I did a good job of controlling the heat so that it will not burn the food. Chow mein is always one of my favorite foods, I am so happy that I can remember the recipe for making it. And I am so proud of myself when I can feed myself.
