Week 3: Open-faced Grilled Cheese

For this week's slicing assignment, I prepared an open-faced sandwich 
I based my grilled cheese off of this recipe: https://www.spendwithpennies.com/tomato-grilled-cheese/ 

Ingredients
2 tomatoes
1 block of jalapeno cheddar cheese 
Bread 



1. To start, I started with slicing the cheese and tomatoes 
2. Then I sliced the bread. 
3. I grilled the bread with some butter in a small frying pan
4. I let the bread and cheese melt on the grill. 
5. After the cheese melted, I placed the tomatoes on top. 


Everything went well in this recipe. I just feel like I could have added more flavor. I think that if I add an olive tapenade before melting the cheese, I think it would taste better. If not the olive tapenade, I feel like I could've added onions.
