- Canola Oil
For this week I was short on time all week so for lunch one day I decided to throw together a quick side to go with some burgers we were having as a house. These potato chips were thinly sliced then soaked for roughly 15 minutes in a brine solution then pulled out and dried off. After they were dry I heated some canola oil (just enough to cover the bottom of the pan) and then set the potatoes in the pan as a single layer. I let the potatoes fry for roughly 5 minutes each side or until they were golden brown. After that I set them out on a plate with paper towel and let the oil soak off and then enjoyed the chips. This recipe was my own and I made it up as I went along.
