Week 5


For this week, I chose to make a rice noodle with braised broccoli and shrimp

Ingredients:
1) rice noodle
2)garlic powder
3)grapeseed oil
4)cooking wine
5)soy sauce
6)oyster sauce
7)tomato sauce
8)broccoli
9)shrimp


Steps:
1) boil rice noodle and shrimps, and peel shrimps
2)add grapeseed oil in the pan and stir fry the broccoli
3)add soy sauce, cooking wine, oyster sauce, tomato sauce and garlic powder in the pan
4)add shrimps in it and braise them for ten minutes
5)mix the corn starch with water and add into the pan
6)add boiled rice noodles in it until the soup became thick


Reflection:
I added a few flavors in the stir-fry broccolis, so this dish has rich flavors. And I braised them for ten minutes so that the taste can go inside of the shrimps and broccoli. I put rice noodles in it at last so that the rice noodle will not be overcooked and still get rich in flavor with the thick soup. In this dish, braising did me a big flavor, it helps with letting the taste go inside of the food.
