Stir-fry celery with beef
Ingredient:

  • celery
  • beef (minced)
  • garlic, 2 cloves and mince
  • soy sauce
  • 13-spices
  • black pepper powder
  • chicken essence
  • salt
  • vegetable oil
Steps:

  1. Cut the beef to small pieces
  2. put in a bowl add soy sauce, 13-spices, black pepper powder
  3. slicing celery
  4. Mince garlic
  5. Put vegetable oil into the wok
  6. After the oil hot, put minced garlic
  7. Put the minced beef
  8. After the beef almost well done, put sliced celery
  9. Add chicken essence, salt and soy sauce, cook for a few minutes
Reflection:
The first dish that I cook without anyone helps is stir fry celery with pork. It is same with stir fry celery with beef.  I only cook tomato with eggs once in China. And celery with beef is the first dish I cook in America. This is a dish that gives me the confidence to cook. After I move out of my aunt's home, I continued to cook celery with pork/beef for several weeks. Because it is easy and celery is everywhere in the market. I prefer to stir fry beef until it has dark brown so the beef can have a roasted flavor.
Slicing:
I sliced the beef and celery. I found that half-frozen beef is easier to cut.
