The recipe that I used came from Primavera Kitchen: https://www.primaverakitchen.com/grilled-chicken-avocado-salad/
While I was making this I used 2 chicken breasts, 2 tomatoes, 2 avocados, 1/2 of a red onion, some cilantro, 1 lime, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and some salt and pepper.
1. The first thing I did was marinate the chicken in some chipotle spice and olive oil.
2. After setting the chicken to marinate, I got started dicing the avocados, onions, and tomatoes.
3. At this point, I put the chicken on the grill to cook.
4. While the chicken was cooking, I added the diced vegetables into a bowl. I then added some chopped cilantro.
5. After the chicken was done cooking, I chopped it up.
6. I mixed everything together, squeezed some lime juice, and added salt and pepper to taste.
I used the dicing technique to prepare my avocados, chicken, onions, and tomatoes. I felt like this technique was useful in this salad because it helped distinguish the food textures. The tomatoes felt different in comparison to the avocados and chicken.
The cooking process was good overall. I did not cut or knick my fingers. The food tasted really good, which I was excited about. I think the lime juice really brought out the flavors of the chicken, cilantro, and avocado. I am proud of my dish because it was easy to make and tasted really good. I think that next time, I could add some corn to the salad to add more color and different tastes in the food.
